Our organization and the people it employs are local to the Moore County community. This is why it is so important to us that we support local people and organizations with services and education whenever we can. We expect our leaders and staff to give back to the community we love and serve; and lucky for us, they are all incredible people with compassion and the heart and dedication to serve.
Below are our current and upcoming community outreaches.
If you would like any additional information, or if there is something we can do for you or your organization,
please just give us a call.
We offer a free Grief Support Group for those in our service area and their support systems who have recently suffered a loss.
The Group meets periodically through the year on Thursdays, typically for about six weeks at a time in the evenings at our office.
Ages 15 and up are welcome, and minors will need either to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, or receive their consent to attend.
Our next group session has been announced for Tuesdays, September 26th through October 17th from 2:00pm - 3:00pm at our office located at 209 South Bliss.
For more information, or to join the group session, please contact Erica Brewer at (806) 395-7171 extension 2427
We all grieve. You don't have to do it alone.
Our staff proudly participates in local health fairs to provide screenings and education to the community. We currently attend six or seven a year that serve in excess of a thousand Moore County residents.
Our staff participates in the Meals on Wheels program for Moore County residents, delivering home cooked meals to those who may be unable to cook for themselves or have the resources they need to maintain good nutrition.
First Saturday of each Month
7:00am - 10:30am
Masonic Lodge
824 S Maddox
We are teaming up with the Dumas Masonic Lodge to provide free blood pressure testing during their monthly country breakfast.
Simply drop by the Masonic Lodge on the first Saturday of the month to enjoy their delicious country breakfast (The Masonic Lodge offers their breakfast for $6.00 per person) and/or get your blood pressure checked free of charge.
We also hold a drawing for all who participate because we believe that simple measures like having your blood pressure tested regularly can help prevent major health issues later in life.
Each Year in April
Each spring, we honor those who have left before us at a celebration and continuation of life with the families who have allowed us to assist in their time of need.
Each family is an inspiration to many and the staff and volunteers of Memorial Hospice are honored to extend to extend to them an invitation to a special program celebrating the life of their loved one.
Each family is presented a small pine tree in memory of their loved one to carry their remembrance far into the future.
In November Every Year
Memorial Home Health & Hospice
209 South Bliss
The Memorial Hospice Tree of Life Celebration honors Hospice patients who have gone before us with the annual lighting of our Tree of Life followed by a memorial ceremony.
The public is welcome to honor the remembrance of those who are still in our hearts and those who may no longer be in our presence, but will remain forever with all of us.
Any donations received at this event are used towards the Memorial Hospice Patient Care Account, which provides Hospice care for those who are unable to pay.
Elder Tree Angels & Pictures with Santa
Our Elder Tree works as an angel tree with community members adopting an elder and providing them with Christmas cheer.
The Elder Tree angels will have information about what the Elder needs/wants and when to return the gifts.
After the gifts are delivered, Santa Clause will stop by our office for pictures with community children and a bake sale, where all proceeds are donated to the Memorial Hospice Patient Care fund.
These events occur in the month of December annually.
2nd Monday of Every Month

We are providing a free support group to individuals who care for someone with Alzheimer's.
We understand how difficult it is, both physically and emotionally, to care for a loved one who has Alzheimer's.
This support group is a place for caregivers to come together and receive support and education with others who are experiencing the same things.
The group is lead by Erica Brewer, our licensed and experienced Social Worker, with assistance from the Alzheimer's Association.
To join the group or for more information, please contact
Erica Brewer at (806) 935-4884.
Our staff partners with Moore County Therapy Services to bring a "Matter of Balance" class to area residents who have had issues with their balance. This class teaches exercises to make them stronger and fear falling less, so they can enjoy a fuller life.
Memorial Hospice is proud to be a service of the Moore County Hospital District.
We work together with physician clinics, outpatient, and inpatient services to provide the best experience for each and every one of our patients.
