Memorial Hospice has been proudly serving award winning care to the Moore County community for over 30 years. We are staffed by local professionals and we assist members of the community transition from illness, hospitalization, surgery or other injuries in the comfort of their own homes. As home care has become more popular, we have met the need; providing education, therapy, nursing care, and more to our neighbors, family, and friends.
We were the premier Hospice agency in the Texas panhandle and we have expanded our service area to include the surrounding counties of Sherman, Hartley, Dallam, and Hutchinson.
Memorial Hospice began in 1989 and was one of the first hospices in Texas. Dedicated members recognized the community’s need for hospice services, and through Moore County Hospital District, Memorial Hospice was established. A team of professionals: medical, clergy, and social workers, along with a group of dedicated volunteers began the work, bringing comfort and support to dying patients and their families.
Memorial Hospice is committed to helping honor a patient’s choices in the most compassionate way possible. As caretakers of the patient’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual health, Memorial Hospice coordinates the care and support that both the terminal patient and the family need during this crucial time of life. Many credit the Hospice philosophy for helping to make their final days with their loved one warm and memorable.
Memorial Hospice is proud to be a service of the Moore County Hospital District.
We work together with physician clinics, outpatient, and inpatient services to provide the best experience for each and every one of our patients.
